Obituary: James Mundy Jones, 2003 Source: The News and Advance, February 2, 2003 Contributor: Dennis Truslow, --------------------------------------------------------------------------- APPOMATTOX - James Mundy Jones, 72, of Route 5, died Friday night, Jan. 31, 2003, in Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of the late Twyman Elizabeth Eagle Jones. Mundy was born in Nelson County Oct. 21, 1930, a son of the late Willie Thomas and Mary Jordan Jones. He was a retired mechanic with Appomattox Ford-Mercury, an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church. A son and daughter-in-law, James Twyman and Janet Jones of Appomattox; two granddaughters, Milissa Gayle Jones and Destiny Gail Jones; brother and his wife, Henry F. and Ocie Jones of Gladstone; and a special friend, Helen Franklin of Appomattox; two nieces; and one nephew survive him. A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, Feb. 3, 2003 at 2 p.m. in Liberty cemetery by the Rev. Earnie W. Lucas. The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home from 3 to 5 p.m. today and other times at the residence of J.T. and Janet Jones. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Appomattox Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 57 or Appomattox Fire Department, P.O.
