Ruby Virginia Lawhorne, 78, of Schuyler, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2004. She was 
preceded in death by her husband, Preston Lawhorne; her parents; and three 
sisters.
Survivors include her children, Laverne Fitzgerald, Jimmy Lawhorne and his 
wife, Irene, Ronnie Lawhorne and his wife, Marion, all of Schuyler, Gene 
Lawhorne and his wife, Gayle, of Charlottesville, and Greg Lawhorne of 
Schuyler; one sister, Willie "Johnnie" Drumheller of Martinsburg, W.Va.; one 
brother, Oline Wright of Appomattox; 21 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 
two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Everyone who knew Ruby loved her, and she will be greatly missed.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004, at Alberene 
Cemetery, Alberene.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004, at 
Thacker Brothers Funeral Home, Scottsville.
