Obituary: Betty Lou (Hall) Lilly, died July 23, 1983 Source: Unknown Newspaper Contributor: Dennis Truslow --------------------------------------------------------------- STUARTS DRAFT - Mrs. Betty Lou Lilly, 56, of Dodge St. died Saturday afternoon in the University of Virginia Hospital. She was born in Waynesboro June 27, 1927, a daughter of Mrs. Lillie Truslow Hall Coiner and the late Harry E. Hall of Nelson County. She was retired from American Safety Razor Co. and was a member of Rankin's Chapel United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband, Leslie D. Lilly Sr.; three sons, Harry Lee Lilly, Leslie D. Lilly Jr. and Steven D. Lilly, all of Stuarts Draft; one brother, Donovan M. Hall of Waynesboro; two half-sisters, Mrs. Bill (Louise) Hassett and Miss Ann Coiner, both of Waynesboro and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Ann Lilly. A service will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the Waynesboro Chapel of Etter Funeral Home, conducted by Revs. Robert M. Throckmorton Jr. and Banks Swanson. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Active pallbearers Lynwood Burnette, Mike Benavitch, Sherwood Hoover, Ricky Truslow, Gary Massie, Argel Losh, Eddie Taylor and Jerry Brooks. Honorary pallbearers will be Sharon Lowe, Cindy Clindinst, Teresa Lowery, Penny Rudine, Janie Hoover, Pam Dedrick, Sandra Hall, Marcie Hall, Walda Massie and Jennie Marie Witlock.
