Obituary: Willis A. Little, 94, of Lovingston, died Friday, Oct. 10, 2003, at St. John’s Nursing Home in Lynchburg. Born on July 29, 1909, he was the son of the late Willie G. Little and Gillie Harris Little. He was an active member of Cavalry Baptist Church, and served as executive director for Nelson County A.S.C.S. prior to his retirement. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Simpson Little; a daughter, Corinne Little Estes; and a sister, Frances Salmon. He is survived by his son, Willis Little Jr. of Lynchburg; a sister, Effie Stokes of Essex. N.C.; a brother, Conzell Little of Littleton, N.C.; three grandchildren, Christie Martin, Lisa Vest, and Andy Little; two step-grand- children, Eric Estes, and Michelle Gardner; and eight great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Monday, Oct. 13, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church of Lovingston, with the Rev. John P. Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in the Moutainview Cemetery in Lovingston. The family will receive friends today from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice or your local churches.
