Gloria Dawn Mays, 26, of Laurel Rd. Shipman, (Nelson County), died Sunday, 
March 14, 2004.
Born Jan. 16, 1978, in Lynchburg she was the daughter of David Wayne and Betty 
W. Mays and a devoted stay at home mom.
She is survived by two children, Tomas Diego Mays and Brianna Nichole Mays; 
her mother, Betty Willoughby Mays of Shipman; her father, David Wayne Mays and 
wife, Lynn, of Roseland; a brother, Michael Wayne Mays of Shipman; and four 
aunts, Florence Roberts and husband, Claude, of Shipman, Nellie Sharpe and 
husband, Ted, of Richmond and Ann Banton and husband, Mickey, of Shipman. She 
is also survived by her boyfriend, Jose Garcia of Roseland.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 2004 at the 
Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston with the Rev. Carroll Martin and 
the Rev. Dave Peters officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2004, at 
the funeral home.
