Obituary: Gullia E. Maupin Source: Unknown Newspaper Contributor: Ronnie Fitzgerald --------------------------------------------------------------- Gullia E. Maupin Gullia E. Maupin, 92, of Route 1, Box 62, Schuyler died Nov. 11, 1987, in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 16, 1894 in Albemarle County, son of the late Alphonso Maupin and Mildred Frances Drumheller Maupin. He was husband of the late Ethel Hamner Maupin. He is survived by two daughters, Virginia Warwick Roberts of Faber and Mary Louise Seay of Lynchburg; three sisters, Ms. Mabel Maupin of Schuyler, Mrs. Massie Hall of Waynesboro and Mrs. Lewis Allen of Buckingham; and by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Maupin was a retired druggist. He was a World War I Army veteran a member of Rockfish Masonic Lodge # 108, AF & AM, for over 60 years and a member of the New Faith United Methodist Church. Graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Alberene Cemetery. The Rev. Ralph Hyder will officiate.
