Obituary: Ella Blanche Martin Mawyer Source: Unknown Newpaper Contributor: Suzanne Wood Painter ------------------------------------------------------------------ Ella Blanche Martin Mawyer LOVINGSTON - April 21 - Mrs. Ella Martin Mawyer, 58, wife of Samuel Kemper Mawyer, died at her home near here today at 2:30 p.m. Born in Nelson County, April 18, 1898, she was the daughter of Mrs. Fannie Wood Martin and the late J. O. Martin. She was a member of Adial Baptist Church. Surviving include her husband and mother and two daughters, Mrs. Louise M. Simpson and Mrs. Douglas Harvey, both of Lovingston; two sons Samuel O. Mawyer of Faber and Harold Simpson Mawyer of Lynchburg; nine grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Jim Duncan of Faber, Mrs. Lynn Kennedy of Covesville, Mrs. Reginald Dawson of Buckhannon, W. VA, Mrs. Mary Reese of Richmond; four brothers, Aubrey Martin of Richmond, Charles and Freddie Martin of Lovingston, William Martin of Fort Belvoir. Funeral Services will be conducted at Adial Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Monday, with Burial in the church cemetery.
