Obituary: Dollie Mae (Truslow) Mohler, Age 77, died March 24, 1997 Source: Unknown newpaper Contributor: Dennis Truslow --------------------------------------------------------------------- Paper: Unknown AFTON - Dollie Truslow Mohler, 77, of Afton, passed away from this life Monday, March 24, 1997. She was born February 14, 1920 in Nelson County, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Everett B. Truslow and Minnie Carter Truslow. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mohler's husband William A. Mohler preceded her into the next life. Mrs. Mohler was a life-long resident of Nelson County an a member of the Rockfish Presbyterian Church. Her hobbies included fishing, hunting, gardening, caring for her children an grandchildren, confidant to many family members and friends. Avid sports fan (especially baseball) and reading. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Now, Mrs. Mohler has joined with her husband, she was preceded in death by a brothers John Truslow, Dennett Truslow, sisters Pearl Truslow Ferguson, Mary Truslow Scott and Lola Truslow Bryant. Mrs. Mohler is survived by her two daughters, Florence M. Ramsey of Afton and Alice M. Mohler of Waynesboro; four sons, Lewis A. Mohler and daughter-in-law Doris of Lovingston, Kenneth H. Mohler and daughter-in-law Rose of Nellysford, Sailor H. Mohler and daughter- in-law Phyllis Cleve of Columbia, Md., Henry B. Mohler and daughter-in-law Veronica of Waynesboro. Mrs. Mohler is also survived by her brothers, Cloudy Truslow of Faber and Jesse Truslow of Afton as well as two sisters Barbara Truslow Shey of Afton an Lucille Truslow Slater of Waynesboro. She is also survived by her twenty grandchildren, and her fifteen great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Rockfish Valley Presbyterian Church cemetery by the Rev. John Chafee. Active pallbearers will be Roger Patrick, Howard Bryant, Jimmy Campbell, Junior Sprouse, Bo Truslow, and Rodney Truslow. Honorary pallbearers will be Grover , Truslow, John Elledge, Buck Haney an her nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Hospice of the Piedmont for all their kindness and understanding.
