Obituary: Ervin Lenwood Morris, 1994 Source: Unknown Newspaper Contributor: Dennis Truslow ---------------------------------------------------------------- AFTON - Ervin Lenwood "Dick" Morris, 55, of Route 3, Box 558, died Friday afternoon (May 6, 1994) at his home. He was born July 20, 1938, on Shifflett Mountain in Green County, a son of the late Ervin M. and Frances Tombs Morris. He was a carpenter and had worked for William S. Miller of Afton. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Truslow Morris: his children, Shirley Morris, Peggy Morris and Michael Morris; a brother, James Morris; and a sister, Ruby. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Brenda Campbell Morris; three children, Pamela J. Hall of Afton, Ervin Lenwood Morris Jr. of Crozet, Bobby Lee Morris of Afton, two grandchildren, Misti Dawn Hall of Afton and Cierra Nycloe Morris of Crozet; two brothers, John Otis Morris of Afton and Herbert C. Morris of Ohio; and three sisters, Beorgie Pugh and Ann Ellinger, both of Waynesboro, and Mary Keyton of Browns Cove. A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hebron Baptist Church in Afton by the Rev. John Chafee. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Billy Miller, J.K. Kennedy, Tommy Harvey, Fred Pugh, Edgar Keyton, Russell Kennedy and Glen Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be John Morris, James Morris, Billy Morris, Donald Hall, Ronnie Truslow and Steve Johnson. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service.
