Obituary: Mrs. Florence (Thompson) Morris

  Schuyler, Nov. 18 – Mrs. Florence Morris, widow of Alexander N. Morris of Schuyler, 
died Thursday at a hospital in Charlottesville.  She was 88.  
  She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Susie Critzer of Schuyler, with whom she 
lived, and Mrs. Vertie Morris of Luray; a son, Samuel Morris of Alexandria; three 
sisters, two brothers, 17 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.  
  A funeral will be held at 2:30 Sunday at Centenary Methodist Church in Old Dominion 
with burial in Alberene Cemetery.

Contributor’s notes: Florence Thompson Morris was the daughter of  Samuel Robert 
Thompson and Elvira Behetherland Morris.  Florence was born October 7, 1871 and died 
November 17, 1960.  The Alberene Cemetery is located in Albemarle County.
