Obituary: George Emery Morris Source: The Daily Progress, date unknown Contributor: Mary Woolls, Mara5wool@aol.com --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- George Emery Morris, 68, of Schuyler, a retired farmer, died yesterday at his home following a heart attack. He was born April 4, 1894, in Nelson County, the son of Mrs. Florence Morris of Schuyler and the late Alex Morris. Besides his mother, he leaves his wife, Mrs. Yvonne D. Morris; three daughters, Mrs. Ferne Ferneyhough of Charlottesville, Mrs. Phyllis Clements of Alexandria, and Mrs. Della Baber of Bristow; two sons, George Earle Morris of Schuyler, and Sidney Lee Morris of Arlington; two sisters, Mrs. Susie Critzer and Mrs. Vertie Morris of Schuyler; a brother Sam Morris of Alexandria; and seven grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Thacker Brothers Funeral Home in Scottsville. Burial will be in Alberene Methodist Church.
