Obituary: John Dean Nelson, born July 13, 1949, died July 20, 2002 Source: The Daily Progress, July 23, 2002 Contributor: Dennis Truslow ----------------------------------------------------------------------- John Dean Nelson, 53, of Nelson County, died Saturday, July 20, 2002, in a tragic landscaping accident. Born July 13, 1949, in Bellows Falls, Vt., he was a son of the late Henry and Verlie Mae Nelson. He is survived by four daughters, Heather Lynn Nelson of Free Union, Holly Michelle Buttons of Flemington, N.J., Rebecca Katherine Nelson of Secaucus, N.J., and Abigail Jane Nelson of Bridgeport, Conn.; two sons, John Wade Nelson and Luke James Doyle Nelson, of Tye River, Amherst; two sisters, Dixie Kentopp and Linda Lentini, of Englewood, Fla.; three brothers, Jim of Flemington, N.J., Dale of San Diego, and Henry of Couth Plainfield, N.J.; and three grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in Tye River and burial service in Rosemond, N.J.
