Obituary: David Lewis Padgett, Sr., 1992 Source: Unknown newspaper Contributor: Dennis Truslow ----------------------------------------------------------- David Lewis Padgett Sr., 76, of Route 2, Mineral, died Friday (May 22, 1992). A retired carpenter, Padgett was (born January 21, 1916), the son of the late Elburn W. and Nellie Body Padgett. Survivors include his wife, Warneta Truslow Padgett (the daughter of the late Austin and Lillie Bowling Truslow of Nelson County); one son, David Lewis Padgett Jr. of Waynesboro; one daughter, Lucille P. Wiseman, also of Waynesboro; one brother B.E. Padgett of Bumpass; four sisters, Margaret Mitchell and Mary Hester Blackand, both of Florida, Dorothy Farmer of Richmond, and Clara Paxton of Lexington: six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the Woodward Funeral Home chapel in Louisa. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery with military rites by the Stuarts Draft VFW Post 9339. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Woodward Funeral Home.
