  Mary Tillman Phillips, 85, of Schuyler died Tuesday, April 25, 1995.
  She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Lee Phillips; her 
parents, Thomas and Elner Tillman and two brothers, Henry and George 
Tillman.
  Survivors include one daughter, Brenda P. McFadden and her husband, 
James, of Schuyler; one son, Ted Phillips, and his wife, Peggy, of 
North Garden; three sisters, Gladys Marks, Martha Kitchen and Elsie 
Phillips, all of Schuyler; one brother Emmitt Tillman, of Alexandria; 
three grandchildren, Tammy McFadden Allen, Rodney Lee Phillips of 
Charlottesville and Jennifer McFadden of Schuyler; one great-grandson, 
Lance Allen of Dillwyn and several nieces and nephews.
  Mrs. Phillips was a longtime member of Schuyler Baptist Church.
  A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Thacker 
Brothers Funeral Home, Scottesville, with the Rev. Marvin E. Jacobs 
officiating. Interment will follow in the Tillman family cemetery, 
Schuyler.
