Obituary: Henry J. Ponton Sr.

  Henry J. Ponton Sr., 73, of Schuyler, died at his home, Saturday, Sept.20, 2003. He was 
preceded in death by his parents Mr. & Mrs. Charles E. Ponton; a daughter, Sylvia Ponton; 
three brothers, Willie, Phil, and Charles Ponton.
  Survivors include his wife, Emma; two sons, Richard "Rick" Edward Ponton, and his wife, 
Sara, of Schuyler, and Henry James Ponton Jr., and his wife, Susan of Baskersville; seven 
grandchildren, Holly, Henry III, Andrew, Brittany, and Kristen Ponton, and Brittany and 
Danielle Snoddy; one niece; several nephews; and his three beloved dogs.
  Following Henry’s request he to be cremated and there will not be any viewing or public 
service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested for Nelson County Rescue 
Squad, Scottsville Rescue Squad, or the Nelson County S.P.C.A.
  Thacker Brothers Funeral Home, Scottsville is in charge of arrangements.
