Obituary: Annie Lee (Perry) Powell, 2003 Source: The Daily Progress, Wednesday, November 26, 2003 Contributor: Dennis Truslow, aquaair@erols.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Annie Lee Perry Powell, age 64 of Wayne Dr. Lynchburg died Monday November 24, 2003, at the U.VA Medical Center after a brief illness. Born May 9, 1939, in Nelson County she was a daughter of Mae Catherine Lawhorne Perry of Lovingston and the late Lewis D. Perry Sr. She was a retired employee of Ericsson INC. of Lynchburg with over forty years of service. She attended the Oak Hill Baptist Church of Lovingston. Besides her Mother, she is survived by her husband Raymond G. Powell, her step-son Gary Ray Powell of Bedford, one sister Diane P. Wooten of Lovingston, one brother Lewis (L.D.) Perry Jr. of Faber, a niece Renee Craig, three nephews Randy, Donnie, Jerry Perry and six great nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Friday, November 28, 2003, at 1 p.m. at the graveside in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Lovingston with Rev. Carroll Welch officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 27, 2003, from 7 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home and suggest that memorials take the form of contributions to the Oak Hill Cemetery Fund, 248 Davis Creek Lane, Lovingston, 22949.
