Obituary: Eddie Wilson Puckett, Age 70, born July 4, 1915, died Feb. 15, 1986 Published: Unknown Newspaper Contributor: Dennis Truslow ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eddie Wilson Puckett, 70, of 2062 Lyndhurst Rd., died at 10:51 p.m. Thursday in Waynesboro Community Hospital. He was born July 4, 1915, in Albemarle County, a son of the late Edd Curtis and Florence Truslow Puckett (of Nelson County). He was a member of First Christian Church in Waynesboro and a former plumber and steamfitter with Local Union 491 in Roanoke. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Gladys Phillips Puckett; two sons, James A. Puckett of Roanoke and Randolph W. Puckett of New Hope; three brothers, Irvin C. Puckett of Waynesboro, Earl M. Puckett of Norfolk, and Eugene S. Puckett of Batesville; three sisters, Mrs. Leona Booth, Mrs. Signora Campbell and Mrs. Isabell Williams, all of Waynesboro; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Puckett, and a sister, Bertha Moses. A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in the Waynesboro chapel of Etter Funeral Home by Denis Kadian. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Michael Noe, Homer Hite, Carl Campbell, Larry Parr, Norman Meadows, George Varner, Cecil Fitzgerald and James Oliver. Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Maupin, Elwood Fitzgerald, Michael Williams and the members of the First Christian Church. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the First Christian Church, 241 N. Delphine Ave., Waynesboro 22980.
