Obituary: Etta (Campbell) Quick, died July 1, 1955 Published: Unknown Newspaper Contributor: Dennis Truslow --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AFTON - Mrs. Etta Quick, 71, of Afton, died at 6:58 p.m. yesterday at Waynesboro Community Hospital, after a long illness. She was born in Nelson County on Nov. 5, 1883, daughter of the late Lawson J. and Susan Truslow Campbell. Mrs. Quick was a life-long member of Beech Grove Christian Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Quick, she was survived by five daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Bluma) Snell, with whom she had made her home; Mrs. L. M. (Elizabeth) Irvine of Avon; Mrs. G. L. (Helen) Woood of Greenfield; Mrs. R. P. (Dawn) Kent and Mrs. Hazel Seaman, both of Waynesboro; five sons, Robert E., Kemper C. of Newport News; Medford G., Buddy C. and Calvin C., all of Waynesboro; also 15 grandchildren, five great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Sallie McGann of Roseland; and a number of nieces and nephews. The body will remain at the funeral home and funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Etter Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Charles E. Stevens. Interment will be in the Beech Grove Christian Church cemetery, Nelson County. Active pallbearers will be Luther McGann Jr., Berkley Campbell, Angus Campbell, Mulford Campbell, Jack Wringo and Marilyn Campbell. Honorary bearers, Stanley McGann, Dr. A. M. McLaughlin, Dr. J.
