Obituary: James Kenneth Quick, 2002 Source: The Daily Progress, Oct. 5, 2002 Contributor: Dennis Truslow --------------------------------------------------------------- James Kenneth Quick, 75, of Roseland (Nelson County), died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002, at the Lovingston Health Care Center. Born Feb. 23, 1927, at Roseland, he was a son of the late Kenneth H. Quick and Bessie Painter Quick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John M. Quick, and a sister, Bertha M. Quick. He was a retired employee of the American Cyanamid Plant of Piney River and a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. He is survived by two sisters, Margie A. Coffey and Vergie M. Gleason, both of Lovingston; two brothers, Elmer J. Quick of Piney River, and Robert T. Quick of Lovingston; two aunts, Eva Mae Johnson of Roseland, and Mamie Mays of Amherst; and Uncle, Harry Quick of Roseland; three nephews, Kenneth Coffey, Jeffrey Coffey, and Greg Quick; and a niece, Bessie Taylor. A graveside funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon in Jonesboro Cemetery at Roseland, with the Rev. John P. Campbell officiating.
