Katherine Elizabeth Tomlin Quick, 71, of Faber, (Nelson County), died 
Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at her home. 
Born June 27, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Marshall F. Tomlin and Alma 
Marshall Tomlin. She was a member of the Rock Spring United Methodist Church 
in Faber and a Homemaker. 
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, John L. Quick of Faber; two 
sons, John L. Quick Jr. of Richmond and Jerry A. Quick of Charlottesville; 
three sisters, Barbara T. Bradshaw of Crozet, and Bertha T. Woodson and 
Shirley T. Sites, both of Shipman; one brother, Marshall (Sonny) F. Tomlin Jr. 
of Troy; and three grandchildren, Kenton L. Quick and Ryan M. Quick, both of 
Charlottesville, and James (Jay) Quick of Lovingston. She is also survived by 
several nieces and nephews. 
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday June 12, 2004, at the Rock 
Spring United Methodist Church in Faber with the Rev. John P. Campbell 
officiating. Interment will follow in the Rock Spring Cemetery. 
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight, June 11, 2004, at the 
Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston (434)263-4097.
