Ramsey STUARTS DRAFT -- Annie Myrtle Layton Ramsey, 90, of Route 1, Box 11, Vesuvius, died at 1:10 a.m. Monday (July 26, 1993) in Blue Ridge Christian Home for Adults. She was born Aug. 19, 1902, in Nelson County, a daughter of William and Lina Bradley Layton. She was a member of Mt. Paran Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Minor Ramsey, in 1979 and by a son, Boyd Ray Ramsey. Survivors include four sons, Minor W. Ramsey of Route 2, Greenville, Marion Lee Ramsey of Forrestville, Md., Roy J. Ramsey of Route 2, Churchville, and William C. Ramsey of Prince Frederick, Md.; two daughters, Clara Belle Hollifield of Route 1, Vesuvius, and Mary M. Bryant of Route 1, Montebello; a brother, Aubrey Layton of Waynesboro; a sister, Ruth Fitzgerald of Route 1, Greenville; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Henry Funeral Home by the Revs. Stan Middleton, David Anderson and Francis Funk. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Keith Ramsey, Mark Ramsey, Gary Ramsey, James Scalon. John Sirbaugh, Rodger Coon, Rickey Doyle and Rocky Gregory.
