Rhodes LYNDHURST - Madeline F. Rhodes, 54, of Route 1, Lyndhurst, died Tuesday morning (March 7) in an automobile accident in Waynesboro. She was born in Nelson County on Aug. 29, 1934, a daughter of Ottie and Eula Coffey Fitzgerald. She attended Sherando Christian Church and was employed by Genesco in Verona. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth M. Rhodes; her grandmother, Mrs. Teressie Coffey of Waynesboro; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Rusmisel of Raphine and Mrs. Ronald (Nicole) Holloway of Waynesboro; one son, Michael W. Rhodes of Staunton; five sisters, Mrs. Freddie (Ruthie) Dedrick and Mrs. Ronald (Dottie) Rankin, both of Stuarts Draft, Mrs. Freddie (Libby) Dameron of Waynesboro and Mrs. Richard (Edith) Stinnett and Mrs. Herman (Florine) Painter, both of Lyndhurst; one brother, Roger Fitzgerald of Lyndhurst; five grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Sherando Christian Church by the Rev. Charles C. Ramsey. Burial will be in Lyndhurst United Methodist Church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tommy Fitzgerald, Homer Pickeral, Anthony L. Henderson, Sonny Taylor, Dan Taylor and Butch Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Reese, Orvin Stinnett, Robert Dameron, Timmy Dameron, Eddie Allen, Tony Stinnett, Danny Heavener, Larry Stuples, Billy Mongold and John Yeago. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight in the Waynesboro chapel of Etter Funeral Home. FUNERAL NOTICE Madeline F. Rhodes Mrs. Rhodes' grandchildren are Molly Beverlin, Selena R.
