Obituary: Harriet Odessa (Smith) Roebuck, 2002 Source: The News Leader, Staunton, VA Contributor: Carol Harlow ------------------------------------------------------------ HARRIET ODESSA ROEBUCK UPPER MARLBORO, MARYLAND, Harriet Odessa (Smith) Roebuck, 75, widow of Ishmael Graham Roebuck, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, died on Sunday, (December 1, 2002), at the home of her daughter and son-in-law. She was born on June 17, 1927, in Montebello Virginia, a daughter of Willie Ambrose and Hattie (Williams) Bradley Smith. Beloved wife of Ishmael, Graham Roebuck, who preceded her in death on October 14, 2002, loving mother of Terry Ambrose and her husband Mike of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; devoted grandmother of Harper Dickson, and her husband George; and great grandmother of their son Trevor, of Killeen, Texas. Odessa Was also the devoted sister of Weldon Smith of Waynesboro, Virginia; Bethna Paleologos of Rockville, Maryland, Ethna Reddick of Syracuse, New York, Fredrick Smith of Crimora, Virginia, numerous nieces and nephews and a special friend Pastor Bill Cole. The family will receive friends from 7 til 8:30 p.m. Tuesday evening in the Henry Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday (December 4, 2002), in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Father John A. Abe. Burial will follow at Thornrose Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be family members attending the service.
