Obituary: Hattie Elizabeth (Stevens) Shifflett

Hattie Elizabeth Shifflett 63 died July 23, 1951.  She is survived by three 
daughters, Mrs. J. T. Hull near Orange, Mrs. Charlotte Grimstead, Ocean City, 
New Jersey and Mrs. George Roberts of Orange; her mother, Mrs. Samantha 
Thompson Stevens of Philadelphia; 15 grandchildren; six brothers, Hunter, 
Sam, Bernie and Guy Stevens of Philadelphia, Harry Stevens of Louisa and 
Egbert Stevens of Baltimore.
Burial on July 26, 1951 at Maplewood Cemetery.

Note: Daughter of Robert F. and Samantha Thompson Stevens.  She was born as 
Harriett Elizabeth Stevens on April 4, 1888 in Nelson County.  She married 
April 7, 1912 in Albemarle County to William Dorsey Shifflett.
