Obituary: Nealie Frances (Thompson) Spencer

  Nealie Frances (Thompson) Spencer, age 92, of Woodstock, Va. (formerly of Alexandria, 
Va.) died on Monday at the Mont-Vue Nursing Home.  Born October 11, 1891 in Nelson 
County.  
  She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Heather Thompson; wife of the late Walter 
Spencer.  
  Survived by two granddaughters, seven great-grandchildren and eleven great-greatgrand-
children.  
  Services 11 a.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock, Va.

Contributor’s notes: Nealie Frances Thompson was the daughter of Samuel Robert Thompson 
and Elvira Behetherland Morris.  Nealie was born October 11, 1891 and died in October 
1984.  Her mother Elvira (Heather) had many nicknames, (Elvirie, Heathy and Puss), and 
there have been several different spellings of Behetherland.
