Obituary: Sean Clinton Stover, 2002 Source: The Daily Progress, January 8, 2003 Contributor: Dennis Truslow, aquaair@erols.com ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Sean Clinton Stover, 18, died Monday, Dec. 2, 2002, in the Bahia de Las Aguilas, Dominican Republic. Born in Massies Mill on June 10, 1984, Sean was the only son of Rick and Claudia Stover, residents of Nelson County for the past 26 years. Sean's two older sisters, Adrienne Arroyo and Ainsley Stover, are currently both residents of Colorado Springs, Colo. Well known in the community for his fast smile and giving spirit, Sean's volunteering services included ushering for the Charlottesville Symphony and the Lime Kiln Theatre. Assisted by his family he cleaned two miles of roadway for the Virginia Adopt-a-Highway program for the past 14 years. He spent countless weeks over the past 10 years working voluntarily in the construction of 35 Jehovah's Witnesses' Kingdom Halls throughout the state. In addition, a part of his Nelson County life was voluntarily helping others learn about the truths found in the Bible. His trip to the Dominican Republic was centered around this same ministry. Sean was a "people person," who loved to converse with both young and old. He was a gifted guitarist for his young age. Sean loved being outdoors in any environment, up on a mountain top or down along a sea shore. He looked forward to a time when the earth would be a more peaceable home for all of mankind. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Ballroom of the Double Tree Hotel in Charlottesville.
