NELSON COUNTY, VA - OBITUARIES - Seth Winslow Schmidt, 25 Jan 2004 ----¤¤¤---- Source: The Daily Progress, Thursday, January 29, 2004 Seth Winslow Schmidt, 27, of Charlottesville, died suddenly Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004. Born on Aug. 25, 1976, he was the beloved son of Paula and Barry Schmidt of Afton (in Nelson County). He is also survived by his sister, Sara, of Glendale, Calif.; his grandparents, Joan Schmidt, Donald Schmidt and Marvin and Laura Wayne; aunts and uncles, Robin and David Prihoda, Laura and Ted Godsil, Lori and Alan Winslow, Richard and Leslie Schmidt, Lyn and Andy Fowler, John and Dorothy Schmidt and Carl Schmidt; several cousins; many friends; and his faithful companion, Sammy. He graduated from Western Albemarle High School in 1994. He worked at Outback Steakhouse for the last five years. Seth was a weight trainer and began competing on a national basis and was very active in charitable events within the community. Seth met everyone with a smile; he was a friend to all. He was so full of life and always lit up a room. He was loved by all and taken from us too soon. He will be missed by all. A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Christ Episcopal Church, 120 W. High St., Charlottesville, with the Rev. Holly Wilcox and Father Kim Webster officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at Teague Funeral Home, 2260 Ivy Road, Charlottesville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made in Seth's name to the Charlottesville Albemarle SPCA, P.O.
