Obituary: Lila Mae Taylor, 2001 Source: The Charlottesville Daily Progress Contributor: Ronnie Fitzgerald --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lila Mae Taylor Lila Mae Taylor, 82 of Charlottesville and formerly of Schuyler, died Monday, April 9, 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Lee Taylor Sr.; her parents, Jake and Lillian Tyree; six brothers, George, Emmitt, William, Forrest, Herman and Jake Tyree Jr.; and three sisters, Mary, Lucille and Pauline. Survivors include eight children, Earl L. Taylor Jr. and his wife, Bea of Schuyler, Allen Gene Taylor and his wife, Betty of Buckingham, Jimmy Taylor and his wife, Debbie of Schuyler, Willie Taylor Sr. and his wife, June of Afton, Norman (Buster) Taylor and his wife, Kerri, of Charlottesville, Nancy T. Wisdom and her husband Glen, of Charlottesville, Irene T. Lawhorne and her husband, Jimmy, of Schuyler, and Linda Mae Lamb and her fiancé, Alec Bowen of Charlottes- ville; three brothers, Earl and Earnest Tyree, both of Mechanicsville, and Albert Tyree of Schuyler; one sister, Evelyn Thompson of Esmont; 13 grandchildren, Patricia Cash, Robbie Dove, Lori and Kristy Taylor, Wille Taylor Jr., Sherri Herring, Ashley Taylor, Mike Lawhorne, Cheryl Bias, Kim Lawhorne, Jennifer Shaver, Wendy Bickers, and Travis T. Lamb; four step-grandchildren, Lewis Robbin, Shawna and Sara; 14 great grandchildren. Mrs. Taylor attended Schuyler Baptist Church and had retired from the food service department of the University of Virginia. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother, and was loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed but will remain in our hearts forever. We would like to send out a special thank you to her sister Evelyn, for all of her help and support, and also to all the Hospice nurses and UVA Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Thacker Brothers Funeral Home in Scottesville, with the Rev. George E. Reynolds and Pastor Tom Tuttle officiating . Interment will follow in Woodland United Methodist Church Cemetery in Buckingham.
