  Mrs. Virginia Sullivan Thomas, 79, of Schuyler, died Thursday, February 1, 
in a local nursing home.
  She was the widow of Moses Walter Thomas and the daughter of the late 
Joseph S. and Mattie Rea Sullivan.
  Mrs. Thomas is survived by a son, Edward M. "Moses" Thomas; two brothers, 
Grant Sullivan of Edgewood, Md., and Andrew Sullivan of Schuyler; two 
sisters, Mrs. Northelia S. Price and Mrs. Daisy S. Burton, both of Schuyler; 
and a grandson, David M. Thomas of Harrisonburg.
  Funeral services were held Sunday at Thacker Brothers Funeral Home, 
Scottesville. Interment was in Alberene.
  Memorial contributions may be made to the Scottesville Rescue Squad, 
Scottesville 24590.
