Lee Jackson Thompson
  On Sunday September 19, 1976 at the Alexandria Hospital.  Lee Jackson Thompson 
of Alexandria, husband of the late Ethel Thompson; father of Mrs. Haline Eason 
of Ayden, N.C., Mrs. Esther Kines, Mrs. Rachel Bortz both of Woodbridge; a son 
Chester A. Thompson of Franconia; brother of Mrs. Nealie Spencer of Woodstock, 
Virginia.  Also survived by thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, September 22 at 11 a.m. at the Cunningham 
Funeral Home, Cameron and Alfred Streets.  Interment at Mt. Comfort cemetery.

Contributor’s notes: Lee Jackson Thompson was born September 1, 1894 , a son of 
the late Samuel Robert Thompson and Elvira Behetherland Morris and he died 
September 19, 1976.  He and his ancestor’s have had a strong tie to Nelson County 
that has been traced back to the mid-1700s.
