Toms, Age 70, born Nov. 23, 1923, died Nov. 17, 1994 Published: Unknown Newspaper Contributor: Dennis Truslow ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NELLYSFORD - Tommy Burnett Toms died Thursday afternoon (Nov. 17, 1994) in his home. He was born in Albemarle County, a son of Daniel and Ada Toms. Surviving are his wife, Yvonne Truslow Toms; a daughter, Yvette Estes of Crimora; four brothers, Hugh Toms of Charlottesville, Glen Toms of Roanoke, Alvin Toms of Ashland and Lacy Toms of Pittsburgh, Pa.; three sisters, Kate Glazer of National City, Calif., India Comer and Lorene Sims, both of Richmond; and a stepmother, Nina Toms of Charlottesville. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Rockfish Valley Baptist Church by the Revs. Fred Zeller and Charlie Brannon. Burial will be in the Wintergreen Christian Church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Buddy Truslow, Herbert Truslow, Jonathan Estes, Vance Brydge, Terry Harper and Bruce Ward. The family will receive friends at the Toms' residence. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1290 Seminole Trail, Charlottesville, Va. 22901.
