OBITUARY: W. G. Truslow, June 6, 1978 SOURCE: Roanoke Times & World News (Date unknown) CONTRIBUTOR: Dennis Truslow -------------------------------------------------------------- AFTON - William (Bernard) Gingles Truslow, 47, of Route 2, Box 317 Afton, died at his home Tuesday night. He was born Dec. 18, 1931, a son of John D. Truslow of Afton and the late Lorene Truslow. He was retired self-employed carpenter and tile mechanic. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Mary Ellen Truslow; his father John D. Truslow; one step daughter, Mrs. Barbara Kidd; two sisters, and two step-grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Pentecostal Holiness Church at Greenfield, conducted by Rev. Raymond Suthers and Rev. Mitchell Scott with burial in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be William Kidd, Ted Vance, Arthur Truslow, Jr., A. G. Small, Gordon Truslow and Elton Land. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Ramsey, Gene Brogard, Dr. Robert C. Raynor, Richard Robinson, Buddy Martin, Tony Ashley, Ray Harris and Radford Brent. The body will remain at the Etter Funeral Home.
