Obituary: Therran M. Truslow, age 81 Source: Unknown newpaper, February 27, 1983 Contributor: Dennis Truslow ------------------------------------------------------ Therran Montague Truslow, 81, died at his home Friday night. He was born June 12, 1901, in Nelson County and was the son of the late Eugene Truslow and Sallie Ginnie Truslow. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sophie Key Truslow; three sons, Dempsey Truslow, Louise, Randolph Truslow, Youngstown, Ohio, and Merrit Truslow, Saleslaw, Oklahoma; six daughters, Mrs. Lillian Baber, Mrs. Lena Graves, Mrs. Geraldine Kirby and Mrs. Barbara Harris, all of Batesville, Mrs. Denona Carver, Covesville, and Mrs. Hawsie Fitzgerarld, Waynesboro; one sister, Mrs. Lena Collins, Charlottesville; 40 grandchildren; 55 great- grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was a retired saw mill operator and a member of the Batesville Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at Anderson Funeral Home Chapel from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Batesville Methodist Church with internment in the Wild Rose Cemetery in Batesville. Rev. Gary Robbins and Rev. Otis Smith will officiate.
