Obituary: Lorene Hazel Truslow, died May 22, 1969 Source: Unknown newpaper Contributor: Dennis Truslow -------------------------------------------------------- Mrs. Lorene Hazel Truslow, 55, died unexpectedly at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at her home on Route 2, Afton. Mrs. Truslow had been employed at the Miller School. She was born on Aug. 24, 1913, in Nelson County, a daughter of the late Austin Elmer and Lillie Bowling Truslow. She is survived by her husband John E. Truslow; one son William G. Truslow of Richmond; two daughters, Mrs. James P. (Minnie) Ruthledge of Ashland and Miss Virginia Alice Truslow at home; six brothers, Grafton V. Truslow and Arthur A. Truslow, both of Afton, Owen L. Truslow of Waynesboro, Hartwell H. Truslow of Mobile, Ala., Howe D. Truslow and Howell D. Truslow, both of Stuarts Draft; two sisters, Mrs, Dolly A. Truslow of Glen Allen and Mrs. Warneta T. Padgett of Lynchburg; and seven grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Chapel of the Etter Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. John Chafee, pastor of Hebron Baptist Church, Avon. Burial will be in the Augusta Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday. Active pallbearers will be William Patrick, Leslie Fitzerald, William Lanahan, Page Harris, Thomas Ashley, and Garnett Thompson, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be B. C. Small Sr., Kemper Rodes, Bledsoe Smith, H. H.
