Obituary: Lillie Pearl (Bowling) Truslow, died June 1968 Source: Unknown Newspaper Contributor: Dennis Truslow --------------------------------------------------------------- Mrs. Lillie Pearl Truslow, 83, a former resident of Nelson County, died at 11:30 p.m. Sunday at the Lynchburg General Hospital. Mrs. Truslow was a member of the Rockfish Presbyterian Church. She was born in Nelson County, April 23, 1885, a daughter of the late Elisha and Emma Morris Bowling. She was the widow of Austin Elmo Truslow who died in 1944. She is survived by six sons, Grafton V. Truslow and Arthur A. Truslow both of Afton, Owen L. Truslow of Waynesboro, Hartwell H. Truslow, Howe D. Truslow and Howell D. Truslow, all of Stuarts Draft; three daughters, Mrs. Lorene H. Truslow of Afton, Mrs. Dolly A. Truslow of Glenn Allen, and Mrs. Warneta T. Padgett of Lynchburg; two brothers, Everett M. Bowling of Afton and Johnny J. Bowling of Scottsville; 39 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Rockfish Presbyterian Church at Nellysford, conducted by the Rev. Ben W. Farley. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Friends will be received from 7 to 8 tonight at the Etter Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be Paul G. Truslow, Donald Truslow, Bobby Truslow Arthur Truslow Jr., Junior Wells, Gordon Truslow, Junior Harris and David Truslow. Honorary pallbearers will be William Truslow, Robert Benson, Johnny Bowling, Leslie Fitzgerald, and Robert Benson Jr. The flower bearers will be the Mesdames Linda Faye Truslow, Jean Wells, Helen Truslow, Emma Lou Fisher, Alfreida Truslow, and the Misses Virginia Truslow, Sharon Truslow, Linda D.
