  AFTON - A single-car crash at 3:52 a.m. today approximately two miles east of here 
on U.S. 250 has claimed the life of a 27-year old Charlottesville man.
  Bobby Eugene Truslow, of 32 Hill St., Charlottesville, apparently died instantly 
when the car he was driving struck a bridge near the foot of Afton Mountain close to 
the intersection of U.S. 250 and Va. 692 to Batesville.
  The Waynesboro First Aid Crew answered the call to the scene of the accident and 
freed the victim from the tangled wreckage, but he was pronounced dead on arrival at 
Waynesboro Community Hospital.
  Born in Nellysford July 19, 1942, he was the son of Arthur and Annie Scott Truslow 
and was employed by the Charlottesville Oil Co.  He had served in the United States 
Army.
  In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Geraldine Robertson 
Truslow, one daughter, Annette Truslow, at home; one son, Eugene Austin Truslow, at 
home; three brothers, Arthur James Truslow of Afton, William Austin Truslow of 
Charlottesville, and Cecil McCoy Truslow of Waynesboro.
  A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Hebron Baptist Church, 
conducted by the Rev. John Chafee.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  The body 
rests in the McDow Tyree Funeral Home and will be placed in the church one hour prior 
to the service.
  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
