Obituary: Owen L. Truslow, died March 1, 1989 Source: Unknown Newspaper Contributor: Dennis Truslow ------------------------------------------------------------------- Owen L. Truslow, 68, of Waynesboro, our beloved husband, father and grandfather, died Wednesday (March 1) in Waynesboro Community Hospital. He was born June 26, 1920, in Nelson County, a son of the late Elmer Austin Lilly Bowling Truslow. He was a member of Wintergreen Christian Church. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Hawsie Lorraine Truslow; one son, Daniel Owen Truslow of Jacksonville, Fla,; three daughters, Mrs. George (Emma) L. Fisher, Mrs. Herbert (Malinda) J. Stinespring, both of Waynesboro and Mrs. Richard (Cheri) D. Cleveland of Crimora; one stepson, David Miller; five brothers, Grafton V. Truslow of Afton, Arthur A. Truslow of Faber, Henry H. Truslow of Fisherville, Howell D. Truslow of Stuarts Draft and Howe D. Truslow of Lyndhurst; two sisters, Warnetta Padgett of Richmond and Dolly Truslow of Glen Allen; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Grandchildren surviving include Charlotte D. Fisher, Cindy L. Tidd, Heidi D. Brooks, Mike D. Truslow, Vicki L. Weatherholtz, Kimberley E. Weatherholtz, Gina B. Stinespring, Missy A. Cleveland and Richard O. Cleveland. Active pallbearers will be the following grandsons, Danny R. Truslow, Owen L. Fisher, Robbie Fisher, Chuck Brooks, Timmy Lam and Tommy Tidd. Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters and Kenneth Bradley, Joe Bradley, Robert Tanner, Richard Bell, Richard Cleveland, Randy Stevens and Keith Reynolds. A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Waynesboro chapel of Etter Funeral Home by Pastor Richard Owen. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
