Obituary: Charlie Joseph "Jack" Truslow, 1999 Source: Unknown Newspaper Contributor: Dennis Truslow --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ROSELAND - Charlie Joseph "Jack" Truslow Sr., 73, of Spruce Creek Lane, died Monday (Jan. 25, 1999) at University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville. He was born in Nelson County May 15, 1925, a son of the late Vernon S. Clora Puckett Truslow. Mr. Truslow was a member and deacon of Wintergreen Christian Church and retired from Conagra after 30 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Minnie Hughes Truslow; three sons, Charlie J. Truslow Jr. and wife Dottie of Beech Grove, William S. Truslow and wife Patricia of Stuarts Draft and Timothy D. Truslow and wife Kathy of Shipman; two daughters, Mrs. James A (Frances) Grant Sr. and Mrs. George E. (Lindsay) Davis of Shipman; one brother, Carroll Truslow of Lovingston; three sisters, Mabel T. Napier, Myrtle T. Coffey and Ollie T. Fitzgerald of Nellysford; 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother John W. Truslow. A service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Wintergreen Christian Church by Chaplain Marvin Barbre and Robert Mansfield. Burial will be in the Truslow family cemetery. The family will receive friends at Byrum-Parr Funeral Home here from 7 to 8 p.m. today and at other times at the home of Charlie Jr., 49 Moses Hughes Lane in Beech Grove.
