Obituary: Cloudy W. Truslow, Died July 29, 2001 Source: Unknown newspaper Contributor: Diane Lamb ----------------------------------------------------- HARRISONBURG - Cloudy W. Truslow, 86, formerly of Crimora, died Sunday (July 29, 2001) at Avante in Harrisonburg. He was born June 20, 1915, in Nelson County, a son of the late Everette B. and Minnie Carter Truslow. He was an Army veteran. He served in the South Pacific islands in World War II. He was a retired painter in Richmond and also had painted in Baltimore, Md. Mr. Truslow was a member of the Stuarts Draft Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9339. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Dolly A. Truslow; one step-son, Earl Wells; one stepdaughter-in-law, Jean Wells; four sisters, Lola Bryant, Pearl Ferguson, Dolly Mohler, and Mary Scott; and two brothers, John and Dennett Truslow. Survivors include a son, Gordon Spencer Truslow and his wife, Helen of Crimora; one stepson, Frank H. Wells of Richmond; two brothers, Hampton Truslow and Jessie E. Truslow, both of Nelson County; two sisters, Lucille Slagle of Waynesboro and Barbara Shea of Nelson County; four grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 13 stepgreat-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Reynolds Funeral Service of Waynesboro by the Rev. Louise Puckett. Interment will follow at Augusta Memorial Park. Military rites will be conducted at the graveside by VFW Post 9339. Active pallbearers will be grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy and love may take the form of donations to Waynesboro First Aid Crew, P.O.
