Obituary: William Clifton Truslow Source: Paper Unknown Contributor: Dennis Truslow, aquaair@erols.com ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- WAYNESBORO – William Clifton Truslow, 80, of Avon, died Friday (Dec. 11, 1959) at 11:20 a.m. in Waynesboro Community Hospital, where he has been a patient since Nov. 30. He was born Nov. 11, 1879, in Nelson County, a son of the late Jefferson and Alice Dameron Truslow. He had been a farmer and member of Wintergreen Christian Church all of his life. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elzia Coffey Truslow; two sons, C. N. Truslow of Weyers Cave and Maury Truslow of Nellysford; five daughters, Mrs. Sidney Allen and Mrs. Johnnie Allen both of Afton, Mrs. I. A. McCambridge and Mrs. Walter Talley, both of Washington, D. C., and Mrs. S. A. Bryant of Selma; three brothers, William R. Truslow and Vernon S. Truslow, both of Nellysford, and Tinsley Truslow of Afton; two sisters, Mrs. Robbie Campbell of Montebello and Mrs. Maggie Campbell of Tyro; also, a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The body will remain at the Etter Funeral Home until Sunday at 12 noon when it will be placed in Wintergreen Christian Church for viewing. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. J. D. Farries, with interment in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be B. C. Small Jr., Rudolph Small, A. Philip Thompson, Page Grove and Richard Truslow.
