AFTON - Kenevner (Vest) "Snoots" Taylor, 77, of Afton Chapel Road, Afton, 
died at 3 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 28, 2004) at the Augusta Medical Center in 
Fishersville.
She was born Feb. 9, 1927, in Rockbridge County, the daughter of Jessie Walter 
and Helen Margaret (Gough) Vest.
She attended both Hebron Baptist Church and Afton Chapel.
She retired from Con-Agra after 33 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Vest; 
a sister, Agnes Thurneu; and a stepbrother, John Vest.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Helen T. and Shawn Pannell of 
Afton; two brothers, Jessie "J.W." Vest of West Virginia and Lee Vest of 
Waynesboro; two sisters, Lucille Buttner of Stanardsville and Margaret Dameron 
of Charlottesville; as well as three grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at Hebron Baptist 
Church cemetery by the Rev. John Chaffee.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Reynolds Funeral 
Service of Waynesboro.
