NELSON COUNTY, VA - OBITUARIES - Iola Dell Vest, 15 Feb 2004 ----¤¤¤---- News Virginian Wednesday, February 18, 2004 Mrs. Iola Dell Vest Active church member FABER - Mrs. Iola Dell Vest, 65, of 866 Old Roberts Mountain Road, Faber, died Sunday morning (Feb. 15, 2004) at the Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville. She was born Sept. 9, 1938, in Charlottesville, the daughter of Hattie and Sadie Green Cabell. She was a retired employee of the National Linen Service. She was a lifelong member of the Mount Airy Baptist Church, the church secretary and a member of the Church Food Committee. She was active in all the activities of the church and community. Survivors include her husband, Charles Vest of Faber; four sons, Charles J. Jr. and wife, Sharon, of Richmond, Kenneth W. of Charlottesville, Wilbert Lee of Appomattox and Kelvin D. of Charlottesville; two daughters, Gwen Ann Vest of Charlottesville and Veronica Sadie Hughes and husband, Franklin, of Faber; one sister, Mrs. Sadie Vest and husband, Paige, of Faber; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two special friends, Mrs. Mary Sue Wells and Mrs. Evelyn Jackson; and many in-laws, cousins and friends. A service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 21, 2004) at the Mount Airy Baptist Church in Faber, by the Rev. Gordon Fields, assisted by the Rev. Robin Wayne. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The body will be in the church at 11 a.m. Saturday.
