  Mary (Samano) Wheaton, 77, of Roseland, (Nelson County), died Tuesday, 
Oct. 29, 2002, at her residence. 
  Mary was born and lived in Millville, N.J. until moving to Stone Harbor, 
N.J. in 1975, and then to Roseland, in 1993. 
  Surviving Mary is her husband of 54 years, Laur Don Wheaton; one son, 
John Thomas Wheaton of Roseland; two daughters, Patricia Wheaton Surette of 
Bryn Mawr, Pa. and Judith Wheaton of Florida.; and eight grandchildren. 
  The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Byrum-Parr 
Funeral Home, Roseland. 
  The funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, at Rockfish 
Presbyterian Church in Nellysford, by the Rev. David M. Cameron. Burial 
will be in Rockfish Presbyterian Church Cemetery immediately following the 
service. 
  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite 
charity or to the Rockfish Presbyterian Church, Youth Fellowship, P.O. Box 
278, Nellysford, Va. 22958.
