Obituary: Christine Mildred Wheeler, 2003 Source: The Nelson County Times Contributor: Ronnie Fitzgerald ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Christine Mildred Wheeler Christine Mildred Wheeler "Tiny" Wheeler, 118, departed this life Friday, Aug. 15, 2003, at her home in Gladstone. She was born in 1885 to the late Annie and James Wheeler. She gave her life to Christ at an early age when she joined Second Mineral Springs Baptist Church. Christine worked as a house cleaner for different people most of her life until her health began to fail. She was "Granny" to everybody and loved by all she touched. She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Mary Rebecca Glover (Russell) of Gladstone; four grandchildren Sheila Burks, Elfago Glover, Russell Glover Jr. and Tressa Jones of Gladstone; four great-grandchildren; one devoted stepgrandson, Ronald Horsley of Riverville; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003, at Second Mineral Springs Baptist Church cemetery. She will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to service. The cortege will assemble at the church. The family is receiving friends at the residence, 661 Piedmont Road, Gladstone.
