OBITUARY: Lola Fitzgerald Wood, 1994 SOURCE: Unknown newspaper CONTRIBUTOR: Carol Harlow ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Lola Fitzgerald Wood, 93, died Friday, Oct. 21, in the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville. Born Sept. 1, 1901, in Montebello, she was a daughter of the late Emmett Booker Fitzgerald and Docia Coffey Fitzgerald. She was a member of Jonesboro Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buen Camino Wood; and a son and a daughter. She is survived by five daughters, Carmina W. Taylor of Piney River, Dorothy Bryant, Margaret Lawhorne and Cora Campbell, all of Massies Mill and Mary Sprouse of Tye River; one sister, Lena Coffey of Lyndhurst; 25 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A graveside service was held in Jonesboro Cemetery by the Rev. John W. Robertson. Byrum-Parr Funeral Home, Roseland, was in charge of arrangements.
