  Bernard "Lee" Woodson Sr., 69, of Schuyler, (Nelson County), died Tuesday, 
Jan. 21, 2003. 
  He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Alma Woodson; two brothers; 
and one sister. 
  He is survived by six children, donna Proffitt and her husband, Frank of 
Cartersville, Alma Napier and her husband, Wilbur, Bernard L. Woodson Jr., and 
his wife, Virginia, Thomas Woodson and his wife, Sue, all of Scottsville, Wanda 
Floyd and her husband, Steve, of Concord, and Faith Hammer and her husband, Eric 
of Amherst; 20 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one niece; and his very 
faithful dogs, Ben and Jake. 
  A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Thacker Brothers Funeral 
Home, Scottsville, with Chaplain Ronald Baker officiating. Interment will follow 
in Alberene Cemetery, Alberene. 
  The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home. 
  Memorial contributions may be made to the Scottsville Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 33, 
Scottsville, Va. 24590.
