Contributor: Bob McKinney of Tompkinsville, KY. ----------------------------------------------------------- April 20, 1856 In the name of God, Amen; I, Daniel Goode of the County of Nelson and the state of Virginia do make this my last will and testement. Revoking all of my former wills made by me as any ___ ___. Firstly, I desire that all my funeral expences and internment be paid. Secondly, I desire that a Negro by the name of Washington shall be the property of Daniel Campbell, a son of Washington Campbell in trust with said Washington Campbell. Thirdly, I will and bequeath to Daniel and Joseph Mays sons of Henry Mays and Phily Mays the sum of Twelve Hundred dollars, Six Hundred dollars each for their only use in trust with Washington Campbell. Fourthly, I will and bequeath to the children of Washington Campbell, Namely Elizabeth Campbell, Thomas Campbell, Sallie G. Campbell, Sally Campbell, Daniel G. Campbell, Abraham Campbell and Martin V. Campbell, all the money I have on hand, All the amount of bonds and accounts due me from any person __ __ __ of _____ and I __ __ is __or thirty five Hundred Dollars, which money I desire to be equaly divided among the afore said children. All of which to under the control and management and in trust with the said Washington Campbell have full control of it during his life.
