Know all men by these presents, that we Frederick G. Peters, Mays Cabell, and Robert 
Mitchell held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Virginia in the just and full 
sum of four hundred dollars to which payment well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, 
our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents.  
Sealed with our seals and dated this 27th day of December.  The Condition of the above 
obligation is such that whereas the above bound Frederick G. Peters is this day by the 
County Court of Nelson County appointed Guardian of Frederick Wills, infant orphan of 
Catlett Wills, deceased, and over the age of fourteen years.  Now if the said Frederick G. 
Peters shall well and truly save harmless the Justices of the said Court in their said 
appointment and in all respects discharge his duties as Guardian according to law then this 
obligation to be void else to remain in full force and virtue.

At a Court held for Nelson County the 27th day of December 1847.
This Bond was executed and acknowledged in open Court by the parties thereto and ordered 
to be recorded.
