NELSON COUNTY, VA - WILLS - Ida Vernon Woodford Wright, 14 Nov 1977 ----¤¤¤---- The following is the will of my aunt, Ida Vernon Woodford Wright who was the wife of Lody Harrison Wright of Nelson County. She was born in Bedford County on March 4, 1903 and died on January 17, 1985 at the Camelot Hall Nursing Home in Lynchburg, Virginia. She is buried with her husband in the Jonesboro Cemetery at Roseland, Virginia. I do not have the recording information, but the will was recorded in either February or March of 1985. ------------------------------------------- I, Ida Woodford Wright, of Nelson County, Virginia, being of sound and disposing mind, do hereby make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking and cancelling any and all wills and codicils heretofore made by me. First: I direct that all my legal, just debts and burial expenses be paid as promptly as practicable. Second: I hereby give, devise and bequeath all of my estate, real and personal, to any member of my family, who provides for me, looks after me and furnishes me a home, if I become disabled and unable to care for myself until my death. Third: In the event paragraph number 2 is not applicable to this Will, I hereby give and bequeath my diamond rings to Wendele M. Murphy and Phyllis M. Proffitt. Fourth: The remainder of my estate, real and personal, I hereby give, devise and bequeath to my brothers and sisters, Joel N. Woodford, Allen P. Woodford, Earl Woodford, Guy Woodford, Effie W. Leftwich, Beulah W. Matroni and Mary W. Spradlin, share and share alike. Fifth: In the event my brother, Joel N. Woodford, predeceases me, I hereby give, devise and bequeath his share to Dorothy Woodford, Melvin Woodford, and William Woodford, share and share alike in the interest of their deceased father. Sixth: In the event my sister, Beulah W. Matroni predeceases me, I hereby give, devise and bequeath her share to Wendele M. Murphy and Phyllis M. Proffitt, share and share alike in their mother's share. Seventh: In the event my brother, Earl Woodford predeceases me, I hereby give, devise and bequeath his share to Wanda Woodford and Wayne E. Woodford, share and share alike in their father's share. Eighth: I hereby nominate and appoint Guy Woodford and Wayne E. Woodford as Co-Executors hereunder and will require no bond.
