Crump burying ground: 1937 May 17 Research made by James Archer Evans Cemetery Location: 9 miles east of Richmond, Virginia, on Route #4 to Seven Pines, thence 6 miles east on Route #4 to Bottoms Bridge, thence 3 miles northeast on Route #4 to Johnson’s Store, thence right at Johnson’s Store, thence south 1 mile to site. New Kent County, Virginia DATE: Approximately 1810. OWNERS: County records destroyed. DESCRIPTION: This picturesque old burying ground stands on a knoll overlooking a lake and surrounded by fine old beech, pine and hickory trees. It is encircled by a heavy iron picket fence, in good condition, although the base of the heavy iron lock has rusted away, it is impossible to open it as the hasp has adhered to the frame until it is solid. There are several unmarked graves. Two graves are marked with fine old stones of gray marble, with the carving in excellent condition. The ground is clean and well kept.
